Sanctuary Youth Centre - Community Support

“Strengthen the feeble hands, steady the knees that give way; say to those with fearful hearts, be strong, do not fear; your God will come, he will come with vengeance; with divine retribution he will come to save you.”

"Then will the eyes of the blind be opened and the ears of the deaf unstopped. Then will the lame leap like a deer and the mute tongue shout for joy. Water will gush forth in the wilderness and streams in the desert."

Isaiah 35: 3-6
"Kids at Sanctuary have faced every nature of trouble. Some face uncontrollable addiction, some violence and anger, some theft, learning disabilities, mental health issues. On and on the list could go.

While many professionals claim to have the solutions to these issues it seems that many of our kids are not finding the freedom they so desperately need. Some of our kids don’t want to be free from the things that are destroying them. Some don’t know how to change the course their life has taken. Whatever the circumstance the thing they all have in common is their hopelessness.

So what can we as God’s people do in the face of such despair? What’s needed is a miracle but how do I bring the impossible into being? This passage is one of my favourite encouragements in this area. It says to me that if I do what I can (Strengthen the feeble hands, steady the knees that give way), God will take care of the part I can’t do (the eyes of the blind be opened and the ears of the deaf unstopped). God asks of me only that which He has made me capable of.

What is it that Christ is asking you to do for these children of His? In Love," Galen Falconberg - Staff

"Our resources stem from the business community, qualified staff, trained volunteers, local churches and youth groups. We recognize the potential in young people to be contributing and positive members of our community. Our role centres on meeting disadvantaged youth at their point of need, and in being a catalyst to link them with local aid and services. Our wonderful volunteers contribute in many ways to enable us to be effective. If you are considering how to be part of our ministry, please contact us."- Mark Stone, President
